Obv i don't want to flame etc but my question is: do you think is profitable to openshove 18x his weak hand at BB 200 pre ante? I think its' spewy.
Btw he's a Ftops winner with 20% ROI over 4k mtt

if its profitable or not depends on your and SBs calling range.
in case you question the call with AJ his shove is a nobrainer with a mid-suited connector

that's right and i didn't say that i was playing 12/9.
i think i may shove like top 15-17, against this range he has 37-38% so i think he can r/f against me. obv openshoving is unexploitable and prob he's multit. so he doesn't know exactly how i'm playing and against a LAG in BB openshove may have sense

shoving > r/f for him since he folds out hands you might resteal with like JTs/A8s type of hands

in case he is multitabling his shove is a nobrainer vs most calling ranges even is he has no reads.

winnar

Snapcall this, you are inside your calling range therefore you should probably call!

Also, don't get sucked out on, donk.

even if you know his range includes 98s and are calling appropriately, you're still not going to be able to exploit this shove, so i'd say it's definitely not spewy and him folding it would be passing up a +EV opportunity.

The only reason that would make that push profitable is if the blinds have a decent resteal tendency.
Without that I don't really see how that can be considered any close to standard w/o antes.

Having said that, taking such a marginal EV push vs randoms is pretty pointless.

@zedveron: oc pushing 98s for 18bb is exploitable, probably you did not see we are pre antes.
