I have a question to 6-max turbo and sturbo regs. What % of your sng finish position are 1st and 2nd places? Would be cool if you mention volume as well. Thx in advance

Greetings

most winning players, at least at mid stakes and above, have 2nd > 1st. There are a few really good players with 1 > 2.

Not sure what good regs at lower stakes are like.

not really sure. a lot of it may have to do with good 6m sng players generally not being that good at HU and also a lot of times you'll get HU vs a fish who stacked a few people and be at a chip deficit.

I dont think 2nd places arent as much a function of your HU play as of your play leading up to HU. Top regs are playing to maximize their EV on every hand. A lot of times this means passing up some close spots because you know the spewtards at the table are going to hand you equity by clashing with eachother. So usually youre gonna get to HU with a slight chip disadvantage. I remember back on FTP my 1st/2nds were like 18%/18.7 even though I was winning 6+ bb/100 HU.

JohnySek, are those 70/30 or 65/35?

Obv most top 70/30 guys have more 1st places.

I have 1st > 2nd in 5max (70/30) and 1st < 2nd in 6max (65/35).

I have 18,9% 1st and 19,1% 2nds in 6mans over almost 12,5k sample. Actually didn`t know I had more 2nds than 1sts there. I contribute this to my sucky HU play and running in general very bad at Pstars.

Good players are as you guys said often at a chip disadvantage when HU.

^thx.

Until now I thought my HU must really suck, b/c 1st and 2nd are like equally distributed. But seems to be "normal".

I have 2nd>1st as well, think this is cause of a couple factors:
-I usually enter HU with a chip disadvantage
-When you have a lot of other tables going, the HU popping up super often means you gotta make fast decisions, I find it hard to adapt to a certain villain this way, and usually end up playing my general HU game which might be far from optimal against specific villain
-Games are rigged

Well, I guess you (or me) are still better than avg villain playing HU?

Obviously yes, but I feel like if I would like 6-8 table I would probably get 1st>2nd after a while since I'm just playing standard ship/fold at 75% of my HUs.
