6 handed game on the bubble 6 handed game on the bubble

I'm having trouble on the bubble of these 6 handed games. Usually I have no problem getting to the bubble. It always seems like if I don't double up early I end up bubbling the tournament. Does anyone have tips on how to remedy this situation or am I just getting unlucky. BTW I swear I'm ahead most of the time when the money goes in and these idiots make bad calls and beat me. Please help me out.

If your placement distribution is made up of mostly bubble/2nd place finishes, then it usually means you're playing too tight during the middle/late stages and not making proper shoves. This will result in entering the bubble stage with a small stack which means little fold equity. Having little fold equity, pot odds, and the equity they gain from knocking you, a short stack, out is why you're getting called lightly. Even though it may seem like a bad call when villain calls with worse, it may actually be massive +EV for them.
