Villain is a solid winning reg at these stakes, multitables and is profitable. I have hands on him from several tourneys and his play is solid/straightforward. What's my play here on the turn? What is villains range? PP and AK? If so, easy fold for me?!?

when you iso an EP limp with A9o which is fine I think you have to fold to the 3bet even getting 3/1 on the call. While it's true that we are rarely a 3/1 dog over the whole hand we are often just folding the flop when he leads. Also if he leads an Ax flop we are often toast and we just don't run well enough against his range.

1. I would consider folding A9o to this 3-bet from a solid player. Given a solid range, you probably have only 33% equity at best. Also, hands like A9o get you into really awkward spots and can really put you in a position to get value-owned by the villian. I understand that you are getting pot odds. But with less than 20 BBs, you are too short to be calling with a medium ace.

2. To be honest, I would fold on the turn. This seems like a weak play, butthere are merits to folding. First - if your opponent is solid, you are not getting implied odds or expressed odds to call. The board would have to put 4 clubs and a solid opponent would never pay you off sufficiently to make this a positive expecation call. Also, you have the chance to run into reversed implied odds. There's a chance that he has just trapped you with KK or maybe the Qc/Jc gives this guy a full house and you the flush. You would end up making the second best hand and ultimately lose your stack.

Folding PF and on the turn is best. Flop play is ok. Might bet halfpot to take pot away and give up if he calls or raises.

What do you think?

Raise/fold pf as played. With only 17BB id shove or fold pre...Dont want to raise to 2.75X and get 3bet and be put in a awkward situation.

It might not be optimally, im pretty sure its +cEV though. And would definately be a shove with antes.
