i went for the Cbet on a semi tight villain. Any other suggestions?

i check pre flop because blinds are so small and you already have 1700 chips, i hate playing limp callers out of position in sngs with AJ or AQ. Other reasons i check is i will miss the flop more often then i will hit it and i will have to lead out and now were invested 400 some chips in bad position with AJ.

You do mention he was a tight player so he must have some type of starting hand. C-betting seems to be the correct play I guess, I hate raising AJ,AQ levels 1,2,and 3 out of position in low stakes sngs. I think check folding the flop and leaving yourself with 1500 chips would have been an option too, I know it sounds weak but position and chip mgmt are so important.

I would check preflop - no need to do anything fancy at this stage.

As played, if you're going to c-bet the flop then I think you need to bet more. You're giving him 3 to 1 on his money which prices in all kinds of hands. I would bet 300 to 400 on the flop.

On the turn - you raised preflop, you bet out on the flop, he called you both times and you basically have nothing except a 1-way straight draw. He probably has something better. Check/Fold.
