Poker Stars $6.00+$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t100/t200 Blinds - 5 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

SB: t2000 M = 6.67
BB: t1455 M = 4.85
UTG: t2050 M = 6.83
CO: t4660 M = 15.53
Hero (BTN): t3335 M = 11.12

Pre Flop: (t300) Hero is BTN with 7 7
1 fold, CO calls t200, Hero raises to t500, 2 folds, CO raises to t4000, 1 fold

I have CO as winning reg. Seems like a goofy line from a 6.5 reg though. We're folding this fasho though right?

really?

you raised 2.5x after a limp, which i don't mind .... but you could limp, or raise 3x or 3.5x, there are options there...

EDIT: i probably fold with any raise size, but with your small raise size it makes folding easier.

i usually limp 77 in sitch's like this, raise 99 and 88 depends on my mood and the alignment of the stars

Pretty weird spot to be honest, I cant imagine many winning regs limping in the CO with these stack sizes - perhaps you need to reexamine your image of him?

If you are absolutely sure that they are a winning player then I'd probably open fold as a winning player taking a strange line like this usually means a monster...

As played I'd also fold. If raising I'd make it more than 2.5x

Pompey I wasn't trying to be an ass or anything I was just so taken aback by his limp I really didn't know what to do there. Is there value in limping and setmining here? That seemed a bit too weak to me atm.

Also I immediately ran and SS'ed him but didn't have any free searches left...lol nit.

Just to throw a monkey wrench in the works, it seems that a lot of times I've run into this on Stars recently, it's either two overs (AK, AQ mainly) or a small pocket pair. Granted, it's a small sample size, but from what I've seen, your 77 might actually be a lot farther ahead than you think.

Oh, and any reads at all will help you make this decision. But I'm a bad, bad, bad player.
