Call, Your passivity/stack sizes are possible reasons he feels he can bulldoze you.

you really think it was ok to check such a vulnerable hand? i actually felt as if i had played it bad by checking.

i suck at post flop play, but it seems everyone is snap callin the river. does the fact that i will have 3 bbs on bubble if i call and lose this matter?

What do you mean, how is his hand vulnerable after the river?

I think he meant the check on the flop. I think he should have bet the flop. But it worked out good the way it was played. I would also call on the river.

ya as played he can not only have a missed draw, but also QJ+, you see all kind of "value" plays at 6.50s.

So I'm for calling

Me: Bet flop, bet turn, bet river :P
As played you probobly want to call the river. You bet once and then checked to him, he might do this with a lot. If he has the 7, so be it.

If you don't plan on calling a river bet, isn't bet fold best since you can control how much you invest that way and can make thin value bets??

I don't think we can fold if we do bet, so I like checking since his range has a bunch of busted draws. In other words, our hand is too good to block the river.

Betting for value here in general is fine because Jx is the other major part of his range. Donks bet KJ,QJ,JT, etc. a lot here, he has draws, and then we do lose less some of the time(when he bets smallish value town) with a 7.

I agree that check/calling is best here

But if he doesn't want to call now, I think he should always bet this spot
