Near and on the final table bubble, villian had raise-folded a lot (mostly minraise/fold) and since the FT started, he got super nitty and I believe this is the first hand he played. Overall stats on him are 23/17/265. I rarely ever play these limit tourneys so I'm not exactly sure how the play is at these kind of final tables.

He snap shoves here utg, do we call?

by my count you're getting about 1.3-1 on your call. assuming the bb folds always, you need 56% equity against UTGs range to break even.

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 54.138% 50.95% 03.19% 372511407 23320985.00 { Ac9s }
Hand 1: 45.862% 42.67% 03.19% 312000431 23320985.00 { 22+, A2s+, K3s+, Q6s+, J7s+, T7s+, 97s+, A2o+, K8o+, Q9o+, J9o+, T9o }

even with a wide range and ignoring the bb you aren't breaking even sometimes. i think its pretty much a fold unless he's shoving 50% or > of his range

I call if UTG is aggressive and knows how to push. We're ahead of a pushbotting range here.

how can we possibly need >50% equity?

i'd dump this, people play tighter at the final table just like you said.. because every step up the ladder is an awesome increase in money.

against his range i think you'll be a coinflip at best and a dog too many times... if you're ahead it won't likely be by much (the few times he shows up with KQs)

I agree with drew that this is a fold, but he's assigning way too loose of a range for this player even though he's under 10 bb's. He may be getting short, but there's one guy shorter and he's not completely desperate yet.

ahem. not sure why i was trying to do math yesterday... but i meant 44% equity. for folding to be correct he'd have to be at least as tight as this:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 44.376% 42.43% 01.95% 145304231 6666349.50 { Ac9s }
Hand 1: 55.624% 53.68% 01.95% 183823870 6666349.50 { 66+, A5s+, K9s+, Q9s+, JTs, ATo+, KTo+, QTo+ }

so now i say poosh allday

he's not pushing anything here under A8s, KTs and i'm tempted to say KJs, QJs, ATo, KJo, and QJo and 55+

you're assigning too loose of a range here unless we've got a read.

Doesn't ICM make this a clear fold?

Maybe I have it backwards...
