Heads up at the end of a 6-man tournament.

$150 for 1st, $90 for 2nd.

We both have 3,000 chips and the blinds are 200 and 100. Opponent raises from the small blind to 600. I have A, 2. I personally would love to fold, but in my head I get the usual, 'good players would never fold an ace here,' 'you have to push,' 'what would Tom Dwan/whoever else do?' and decide that the 'correct' play is an all-in.

It's a similar question to one I've posed before. What do you feel the correct play here is and is it ok to sometimes go against the 'correct' play that many people would suggest if you have your own reasons for wanting to do something different?

realy depends on your opponent... vs agro dude that raise u like 70% of the time its an obv push, vs a tight player obv fold

poker is dynamic, that's why it doesn't get boring.

yes, opponent dependent, against anything else than an aggro loose, its not a shove tho, dont do this until the blinds are much higher, with these stacks you can maneuver pre and on the flop

The fact that hes 3xing with 15bb stacks makes me think hes not good and therefore isnt opening extremely wide. But it could also mean he doesnt realize how bad folding after 3xing is so you might have decent fold equity. I prob fold since you should find better spots.

Dont really need the payouts btw

Tom dwan always makes the decision that makes him the most monies.
If plyr is a nit dwan folds, if player is loose he shoves.
Ez game.
