$50 + 1R + 1A Final Table
About 15 hands into final table, MP and CO have each taken one pot down preflop with standard raises. Played with MP at last table and seems TAG.

4000-8000 (750 Ante)

UTG 105K
UTG+1 145K
MP 195K
MP+1 210K
CO 205K
BTN 160K
SB 90K
Hero (BB) 375K

Fold, Fold, MP raises to 20,000, Fold, CO calls 20,000, Fold, Fold, Hero (BB w/ 48 calls 12000 more)

Pot 70,000

Flop - A J 6

Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets 32,000 ...

Is the preflop call terrible?
Should I have led the flop?
What now?

Pre is a fold due to stacks, especially because he 2.5x'ed. Spots like this show why. No idea what to do now, doubt he folds anything to a c/r, flatting doesn't seem hot either so this could very well be a fold.

pre is double-y terrible because you don't know what to do now otf, start by checking and I guess you have to c/r all in now and hope CO took a stab with air.

I think this is a perfect example for beginner's (and I thought I was past that stage, but apparently not) that shows why you don't play crap like this out of position (and a large chip stack and good pot odds on the call are BS short-sighted justifications).

I called the $32K, MP raised, CO shoved, I called, MP called, board ran out dry, ended up finishing 6th for $500, 1st paid $3K, had played solid aggressive poker to this point and was in a great situation with a nice final table chip lead, so I'm still sick over this hand, which was poker 101 at its simpliest. I'm going to go throw up now.

Cool call btw w 84cc :/ i hate this sooo much...imo we can get a 3bet in to 52k~ and get a fold, we also by the larger 3bet give the impression he has no FE when he doesn't realise how light we are 3betting...

Do we have history or a HUD that tells how aggro we are...smaller 3bet stats over large samples should have alarm bells ringing for him to fold unless he has a monster himself...

i also can't see him raise folding w 22bbs in relatively early position w reshove stacks behind...

Now you have got to flop c/s sounds best imo, we can win pot 2 ways, by getting folds or binking out flush :/

No stats, and I'd just be guessing at my 3bet %. I'm in the U.S. and just signed up for America's Cardroom a few weeks ago, never really played too much online anyway pre-Black Friday.

So fold pre unless I have a good reason to think I can 3bet and get them off their hands a reasonable % of the time, and as played check/shove seems to be the concensus.

yup... and obvs thats fine that you have no hub if you don't play often.. just without it, its hard to assess how competent you are and opponents :/
