It was villain's first hand at the table so he had no clue how tight I had been playing so I thought it was a great spot to isolate him and go HU and shove any flop, the flat calls + flop made me equally sick.
I feel like I am drawing to 2 maybe even 1 out - but do I still have to call?

Too late to fold here i think given the stack we have left and the pot. True he can have a K and betting it to get draws to pay or he may have a flush draw or even both. The best you can hope is that he has a flush draw or even nothing making a cbet to exploit the KK flop thinking nobody else would have K realizing mostly you would have some AAXY
If i had higher stack i would fold here but as it is i dont think i do. I say its probably ok to call although its a crying call. Maybe he also has AAXY. You need some 25% (or even less if it becomes 3way) here and the check by the other player plus your small stack may have forced him to bet anyway quite often with a flush draw or even some QQ,JJ. I think you call here. The good news is that an A will give you fh and win over flushes and straights and trip Ks anyway. I say go for it due to the spectrum of hands that he can be doing this with that are not all terrible vs us. It sucks that he often does it with KQJT type hand but the flush draw possibility at least plus some other non K hands make it worthy to call.

bump does everyone play it like this pre?

pretty sick spot.this is k*** a decent % of the time.but most people like to check with trips in this spot because they expect you to shove here every time.the other times he has a good fd or a pair+fd but overall i guess we have enouhg equity to call it off.
