5 Handed FT, wrong play?

Table was very passive, CO was able to play like 60/40 and just picking up the blinds. I was getting blinded out slowly and BTN/SB was happy letting the 2 big stacks pick up all the blinds, settling on top 4.
This was the best hand i had in the whole 30mins on the table, save some small pocket pairs that i folded UTG when it was 7-9 handed. What would be a better way to play in this type of table/situation?
Apologize if the question/hand is too newb. I am new to MTTs and its a tough call btw posting here or beginner's.
