Is this an easy shove considering we have AKs and this buy in level?

Full Tilt Poker $5 + 0.50 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 9 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

SB: t1500 M = 33.33
BB: t1500 M = 33.33
UTG: t1500 M = 33.33
UTG+1: t1500 M = 33.33
UTG+2: t1500 M = 33.33
MP1: t1500 M = 33.33
MP2: t1500 M = 33.33
Hero (CO): t1500 M = 33.33
BTN: t1500 M = 33.33

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is CO with A K
2 folds, UTG+2 calls t30, 2 folds, Hero raises to t120, BTN raises to t300, SB calls t285, 2 folds,Hero???

looks like it - if you had any reads on BTN like you knew he was a multi-tabler or something it's a little closer, but given BI size and SB overlay i like a ship.

If sb folded, this would be a fold correct?

Since we are probably crushing sb's range here, and its like dead money, so even flipping would be ev+ here, right?

Yeah overlay + stakes + the fact that this is the first hand (in which ime bad players are more likely the spew really bad) make this a call imo.

If there was no overlay, would this be a fold?

you can still have the best hand or fold out a better hand, so even if sb folded, i might be tempted to stick in a shove.. it's kinda close but there's still definitely possibilities where you get it in as a 3:1 favorite, and randoms at these levels can be 3betting all sorts of hands.

Without the overlay it would be a tough one for me... he is almost always calling and then you are racing a lot and f*cked some of the time... so you're basically hoping he can show up with AQ here... Without any read, you'd have to go by what the average level of play is at these stakes... don't really know.

I would snap shove even without SBs overlay. I think folding AKs CO vs BTN with 50bb is pretty meh no matter what pretty much

Ah, didn't notice this was CO vs. BTN... yeah, I guess you are right then, i'd shove anyhow.

I almost never fold AK preflop with 50BB stacks.

that can be a serious leak in spots.

This hand is not one of those spots.

I lean towards a push, the flatter would shove a better hand then ours so the overlay is huge here. Our AK is suited which adds some value and our position is late so the 3bettor has us on a wider range too.

So, the way i see it: if we get it in here it will mostly be a flip of a coin, plus a dead money bonus provided by the flatter.

Ship.
