480 runners, top 60 paid, £50k up top, ~120 players remaining
25k starting stack, nice slow structure, 1 hours clock

I have been at the table for a couple of hours, and after playing pretty tight at first to get a feel for the table, I have since been opening a lot of pots and 3-bet several times. There are 3 other competent players at the table, the rest are the usual blend of older live players doing ridiculous bet sizing, not c-betting if they miss, etc

The table is aware that I am opening more than my fair share and have been chatting about it, although not really doing anything to fight back - apart from a few hand ago I raised UTG+1 and one of the lol live regs couldn't take it any more and shipped all in for 30bb with 99, I had AA and held.

Since then my stack has dwindled a little, mainly due to calling a 20bb reship with AJs and ran into KK. My image is probably now a bit more on the spewy side.

Info on SB - Mid 40's, has opened a few pots to 4x or 5x. I believe he recently c/shipped all -in multi way with a draw, although he didn't show. He is certainly aware that I am raising a lot, and it was his mate who busted with the 99.

Blinds: 2,400/1,200/300

I start the hand with ~65k, villian has me covered
Folds to me in HJ, I open to 5,100 with KhQs
SB flats
Flop KcJc4c
Pot 15,300
I toy with checking behind with plan to call turn and river, but I have been c-betting close to 100% so I decide to bet 7,100.
Villain c/r to 20k

Now that I have got myself in this disgusting spot, what to do now????
I have just over 50k behind.

Thanks in advance :-)

In a vacuum I think we have to 3bshove this flop with how your viewed and you said he c/r a draw all in. Embrace the variance.

prob folding since we have ~zero equity vs KJ/44/flush and he will still have a ton with any draw.
he also c/shipped a draw earlier and here he puts ~25k/65k eff stacks in, does not look like he will be folding much.
i know it sucks with your image but they just dont adapt enough to gii and feel good about it.

nice raise V.

+1 what furo said.

your line is fine with a passive V, but this guy isn't passive. prefer a smaller c-bet. throw V off his evil plans.

Thanks very much for the feedback guys, much appreciated. It was obviously a pretty tough decision, and I did ship it in the end - albiet with a sinking feeling in my stomach!

This and the following hand helped enforce an important message to me, which could definitely help others:

Raise utg with AJs (I have 60bb) table CL flats on bu, old guy (and i mean about 70) ships from BB for 20bb. In isolation this seems like a pretty easy fold, but because of my image I made the call. Needless to say he had KK.

Important lesson for live MTT's from these two hands:

You will soon figure out who the good players at your table are, these are the ones that will adjust by 3-betting light etc. Although the bad players/abc players may be aware that you are raising more than your fair share, they will not adjust! They will just wait until they can "catch you out" It's our job is to be aware of this and make big folds when it is called for.

I hope this can help someone else avoid levelling themself in this way :-)
