ok so had only really been at this table for about 25mins or so, but from what i'd gathered, villain in this hand had been ultra spewy, donking flops, snap minraising UTG, calling light etc etc. and I felt I had a pretty good feel for his range.

On the flop I could not give him credit for a 6 or a J i don't think he would insta minraise based on what i had seen, more something like XdXd/ combo overs...


Check behind the turn is obv standard... The tiny bet on the river though, i don't think he would vbet a J so small (he didn't seem like the kind to know what a value bet was) and i think he bets it bigger with a 6.

or was this completely spewtastic?

No, flatting and raising are both better than folding to the minbet.

Folding to the minbet is out of the question, but both flatting and raising the flop are problematic and I'm not sure one is better than the other.
