Most villains at the table are fairly deep for the current tournament stage, so with my taggish image I decided to raise this hand for deception and take down the blinds since play was rather tight. No reads on button, but we can assume he has a fairly wide range for calling in that position if he is half way position aware (not sure given the tourny...). Anyway I obviously didn't raised to play for stacks with top pair 5th kicker and I expect a diamond(-straight) draw to shove instead of miniraising, so even with the odds that I am given this is a fold, right?

jam.

fade the diamonds or spike a ten to beat his KJ, AJ, or QJ.

also, definitely do not rule out diamonds.

JAM??? Given his range, I think you are screwed. This is basically a decision for your entire stack if you don't fold, and it's not looking good:

Equity Win Tie Loss Hand
Player 1: 38.926 % 32.943 % 11.966 % 55.091 % JhTh
Player 2: 61.074 % 55.091 % 11.966 % 32.943 % 99-TT, 44, AKs, AJs, KJs, QJs, JTs, AKo, AJo, KJo, QJo, JTo, AdQd

KJ is actually close to even money against this range.

you almost have his range right, except for the fact that youre way the **** off...
its a 4.40, gl getting a reasonable range for a btn villian that minraises you here.

WTF. What is your range for a button cold-calling pre and mini-raising this flop?? Please, enlighten me. And don't assume it's you OTB.
I'll be glad to punch your range in.

once i figure out how to look into the mind of the average 4.40 player i wont be sharing my secrets with you idiots. ill be raking in the $216 dollars every 20 minutes or whenenver the hell those bloody things run.

i dont know his range, but i think putting him on that range is quite proposterus.

basically youve put in all the hands that are even equity with us or crushing us and none of the hands that arent.

YOU DIDNT EVEN INCLUDE QT FOR CHRISTSAKE!

OP I agree with your analysis. I rarely see str8/flush draws minraised in the $4/180. Villians would usually either push or a call if they had that. The cold call pre and m inraise flop is usually extreme strenght. Sure its exploitable, but I think a fold here is the best play.

If I played as many hands without reads as there are posts without reads I'd stab my eyes out. Anyway, I'd click it back, you know, because **** him!

LDO
Essentially, from what I gather from your posts, you are a big advocate of shoving in close situations.

As said the table was rather tight, I think I saw him two/three times open limping from EP in like 25 hands and as far as I remember but no raise. He was moved from another table and already had this healthy stack.

his range if he is a typical 4/180 drooler is top pair, middle pair, bottom pair, flush draw, straight draw, overpair(although normally minreraise preflop is more applicable here), underpairs, complete air, oh and overcarsd so basically any two cards

jesus christ, fold this and its not even close-- its a 4 dollar tournament, this is not a tricky play, this is a play where hes screaming i have a good hand so i will minraise my monster after coldcalling-- gotta be a disciplined player to win...
