I just coolered villain 2 hands previous to this AA>QQ to double my stack. He Insta shoves in this spot, which makes me nearly certain he doesn't have AA or KK, but of course could very well be AK. I'm getting a little better than 1.5 to 1 on my money, which is a great price vs a race, just think I can find a better spot, since there's only one other decent player at the table. What do you guys think?

This is read-dependent, imo. If villain is a decent/thinking player then I might call because he could be squeezing light {66+, AQ+, ATs+}, but if villain is your average donk, then I probably fold because his range would be more like {TT+, AJs+, AK}

why are you opening 5x. Regardless if it folds to me on the button and I have 28 BB and AQo I am probably happy to get it all in pre against any villian in any situation...

I call w/ AQ here all day long unless Villain is running 7/3, and even then, with us having him covered plus a goodly bit of dead ducats in the bucket, this is an easy shove imo. Of course he'll have 66 and the flop will be AQ6 turn 6 river blank, but this is to be expected.

Villain has a really good re-steal stack, so this play to me is dependant upon whether the villain is a decent player or not. I think you're getting a pretty good price to call here, and I'm willing to race at this point to amass lots of chips.

we just 5xd over 2 limpers, if villian isnt giving us cred for a hand hes mentally disabled.

this is a fold, i hate folding AQ as much as the next guy but seriously...muck this instantly.

I probably fold, but what do i know. I dont think i am willing to call off another 23K here. I am in god position and at best you are in a race situation. Fold and wait for a better spot.

ok didn't see the 2 limpers. 5k is fine then. But seriously snap call, dunno why the others especially areaman who can't usually find the fold button are advocating otherwise. Perhaps b/c its a FT they see it different? Is that true? Generally curious, for me this is an insta-call

fold...u need to be getting 2 to 1 vs a range of: 88+;AQo+;AQs+ (actual range may be even tighter.) fwiw he should DEF shove AA and KK here as well.

unless u have a bad image and he is really tilted from the QQ>AA hand this is a pretty std fold.

He would shove AA or KK, but I'm nearly certain from the timing tell that he doesn't have one of these 2 hands. He's a weak player and he's gonna take more than a second to think about how to get his money in w/AA or KK and like 99.99% of bad players min-raise AA, KK every single time too. Sometimes I'll snap shove AA or KK here, but I do it to induce calls from my opponents thinking that I'm not gonna shove such a big hand so fast. Even bad players that have played alot, will sense this timing tell intuitevly even if they aren't thinking the hand through which of course they're not.

Im extremely confident that he does not have one of those hands, but I Still find a fold. The main reason for me is that I'm still 40~ BB deep and I know I'm the best player at this table, I just think I can find a better spot to get my money in. This is what was going through my head anyways. If I win this pot there's pretty much no way I'm losing this tournament barring a miracle, but I feel pretty confident in my ability as I've been in this spot quite a number of times in $4 180's.

Edit: 3 hands later I lost 35bb AA<QQ all in preflop FWIW. I guess STars was punishing me for not getting my money in good W/AQ. Standard **** you Stars, Online poker is rigged..yada..yada.. yada, I actually didn't bitch in chat, oh know what did I say, I usually just type Standard in the chat box. Somehow this is a tilt release for me just insinuating that online poker is setup for big showdowns and outrageous boards.

I'm almost always calling here.

Even as deep as the FT of a 4/180, it's surprising to me how often a villain will overlimp/shove with something like A6s (or maybe I just luck out and my average villain is ******edly bad?). In this situation I'd put SB on a wider range than what others have listed in this thread.

In this situation, the only villain I consider folding to is UTG+1...but would want to spitecall him for being a big stack who open limps.
