Pretty deep into a 180/4$ and this situation pops up. Villain just got moved to this table, and I have no reads on him. Thoughts?

I would call. He is pushing 22+, Ax, K5+ and prolly QJ here and you don't have to worry too much about the BB. Good spot to increase your stack.

I concur, I would shove just to discourage the BB as well.

If you think it like that, BB might find just a call much more scary than shoving and if he happens to play his hand, he's going to come over the top anyways. Bah, doesnt matter at all tbh.

His m is 6, the blinds are coming, and he's the table shorty. If he had AA, KK, QQ he probably standard raises to try to get more value from it. Go ahead and push imo. You can afford to lose a flip and a win makes you the table bully. It's an unlikely scenario that BB has a big hand and pushes as well. I'm willing to risk it. I don't think a fold is a terrible play, I just think this is very likely to be a flip and I want to accumulate more chips. I know that there will probably be a few "wait for a better spot" posters here. Meh, I'm willing to flip a quarter with his stack versus mine.

Definitely call. He's not pushing any two, but he's probably shoving something in the realm of any pair, A5s+, A8o+, any broadway kings and queens, maybe some suited connectors. Maybe a little wider or tighter, but that should be in the ballpark. If you have reason to suspect he's really tight, maybe it's a fold, but probably not.

Sample equity calculation:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 45.818% 45.34% 00.47% 1234528560 12895698.00 { 22+, A5s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, A8o+, KTo+, QTo+ }
Hand 1: 54.182% 53.71% 00.47% 1462243404 12895698.00 { 88 }

I'd isolate him with a push.

I'd rather assume more narrow range like 22+,ATs+,KQs,AJo+,KQo, considering his position, but still we are in good shape.

I go ahead with you, we play for the win - this is not a better spot thing.
Shove to iso, take a flip and win or be surprised that he pushed a wider range than you thought. Even if u loose this one, ur still in good shape.
Maybe u can take into account, that he's pushing BECAUSE he's was just moved to the table and knows that no one has a read on him...

Imo shove to isolate the BB. Easy shove for me if villian had AA or KK would try to get value and trap someone!
