please berate. I didn't have a clue what I was doing whole hand long, but I'll try to explain my thought process (as if there was any)

Poker Stars $4.00+$0.40 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t600/t1200 Blinds + t125 - 5 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BB: t73282 M = 30.22
UTG: t34458 M = 14.21
CO: t19590 M = 8.08
BTN: t70685 M = 29.15
Hero (SB): t71985 M = 29.68

Pre Flop: (t2425) Hero is SB with Q A
3 folds, Hero raises to t3600, BB raises to t8400, Hero calls t4800

hmm, well... villian had been very loose-passive so far, so I didn't know what to make of his raise. just CALL if you're clueless

Flop: (t17425) 9 5 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks

Turn: (t17425) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t6000, Hero calls t6000

naaa, can't let go it yet, can I? have A-high...

River: (t29425) J (2 players)
Hero bets t9600, BB raises to t30000, Hero folds

do blocking kind of strange bet, who knows maybe he believes you've a flush. or rivered a miracle straight/fh whatever. no. fold at last. loose half your stack. wp.

I 4bet pre to aournd the 25K mark and call any shove here.

Agree with the fold on the turn, cannot see what I am beating here and cannot see what cards would help me on the river.

make it ~26k and shove any flop when he flats.

at first i was like 'meh, we're pretty deep, not sure we can happily get it in here' but it's BvB, 5H, and we have AQ.

I would have either shoved to his reraise, or folded. In the $4 180 I am never folding in this situation.

if your gonna stick it in, stick it in pf - what is he not calling aipf, that he will call on the flop that doesn't beat us

this...

If your read is even close to right, AQo is WAY ahead of him. It has become standard at all levels to raise in BvB, and therefore even bad players are restealing with a wide range. This is an easy 4bet / shove call.

4bet/shoving any flop will prob. allow villian to play perfectly with his PPs (88-AA). Don't really hate flatting here, but if you think villian will 5bet pre with a wide range go for the 4bet.

Are you saying that you would just open shove 70BB? I agree i would shove over the 3-bet if that's what you are advocating.

Idk if I'm liking my hand against someone we have read as loose -but- passive. You're usually in a spot OOP where if you decide to get AIPF (even in a fortuitous looking 5 handed BvB situation), you're never gonna be dominating AJ or something, Villain has middling-big pair, AK, and isn't folding iyam. Villain who is loose passive typically isn't 3-betting something like ATs,KJs,JT,77,etc. they'd just call PF w/ those hands.

Calling OOP is bad because if villain has a narrow 3betting range of AQs+,99+, maybe even as tight as AK+,TT+, we're in a world of hurt because we have no implied odds after the Flop and a whole lot of RIO if villain has AK and we hit an A, and getting AIPF against that range PF 60BB deep is kinda spewy I think because we have no FE.

I fold w/ reads. W/o reads I'm either 4b to set up an AI shove on the Flop, or just 3b shoving over the raise.

Flatting is super bad. 4bet/calling or just 4bet shipping is best.

+1.....Reads on Villain says he's passive.....passive villains don't raise hands that we dominate and don't fold hands that beat us.
