fair enough.

i assume that if only SB shoves we must call and if only BB shoves we must call.

so the only thing remaining to be answered is in reality do the ranges for our villains change if we make a raise for only part of our stack as opposed to shoving all of it? This matters because the times that SB shoves and BB overshove calls are going to be quite rare. Thus, we could have more equity by shoving ourselves if it makes the range for SB or BB tighter (giving us the blinds for free more often).

I don't know the answer to this... If I was SB or BB I prob wouldn't change my range based on button shoving or raising smaller (in the appearance of committing). Would anybody else change their range? Does anybody think fish will shove wider thinking they have fold equity?

I think the main thing for changing range at all depends on if they've seen you do this or something like it before. I think you want to be confused with weak tight players who 4x scared with their best stuff as a standard but if you don't do that but do this regularly and someone knows it they won't misread you. Probably best to use vs unknown fish or rarely for getting more folds anyways. I think most good players will see it for what it is either way.

I bet you would see a lot of stop n gos from thinking BBs just because they might as well if they're going to get it in. You'd be getting 5450:1200 but if they got you to fold ever without changing their range that would suck.

With the blinds this high, I think the odds of raising to 2k and then tanking when they both shove distracts you causing you to lose EV on another table >>>>>>>>>>>>>> the odds it matters if you raise to 2k or shove. Also you can talk yourself into doing something dumb like folding. Also (my theory) there is a psychological to the average fish in shoving vs. calling, even when you're obviously committed. Although in this case I'm not sure you want him folding any questionable hands.

I almost always stop N go (or call it down) there vs. a multitabler. Just to distract them, force them to think more, maybe get them to knock that **** off vs. me.
