folding or calling river? Villian seemed to be on the looser side.

What exactly do you think vilain's range his ? How could he possibly have air ? Do we really expect him to turn 8x or Jx into a bluff ? It's a 3$ tourney, 90% of players doesn't even considerer that option...

So given the fact that vilain can't have air and is not value betting worse, I'd say this is a pretty easy fold (and this would be an easy value bet when he checks, of course).

i think barrelling the turn wouldnt be so bad, if he calls turn you'll know where your at on the river

    turn is good
    fold river

u bosses stop mr-ing pre in small buyin tournies. u lose value vs their wider range and allow those guys who dont fold bottom pair to double barrel to peel very wide to your complete disadvantage.

I think he can call the flop with a bunch of Js or something like 9T. He could also just be floating and now betting after we showed weekness on the turn. We arent always ahead, but I think 3 to 1 is ok.

I min raise because I want them to call with a wide range (keep hands I dominate in). Also why would I want them to fold bottom pair to a double barrel when I have the best hand?

min raise forces your opponent to play postflop where I have an advantage and he is inexperienced, I min raise cause I WANT villian to call so I can outplay him 3 streets postflop in position.

You don't beat anything villian bets on the river except a bluff, which I don't think makes up much of villian's range.

I don't know if villian is a thinking player but that K on the river hits a decent amount of your raise pre, c-bet flop, check turn range.
