3 handed small field 5r, icm says wat

Poker Stars $5.00+$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t5000/t10000 Blinds + t1000 - 3 players

Hero (BB): t593214 M = 32.96
BTN: t384498 M = 21.36

Pre Flop: (t18000) Hero is BB with 9

BTN raises to t25000, 1 fold, Hero raises to t70000, BTN raises to t383498 all in, Hero wants to snapcall

Villain has been going to war with me since we went to 5 handed. Flatting nearly half my opens and overall just trying to run the table over. I really want to snap call but think the cruel and somewhat mysterious icm thingy might say fold, what do you do?

yeah i think we have to fold here. might be better just shoving this hand in the first place so he can't put us in this position.

I did have plan, just wanted some input on imc as I tend to think almost entirely in terms of cev. If he thinks icm dictates i should fold almost everything he is obviously shoving crazy wide. Yet i cover him by 200k so how much is icm really dictating my play?

i'd be really hardpressed dfor ICM to tell us to fold this when we're still in 2nd place if we lose the hand given reads. Just call and win

I would much prefer us to be 3 betting hands we are going to get it with or hands we know we are folding obv. Turning A9 into a bluff 3 handed seems silly. As played I would make it 55k and fold.

3b/folding is fine here if btn is weak and doesn't 4-ball light.

this is a 5r pretty much no 4b light and its at a final table so thats mean even few r going to be 4b light

Given reads though (villain is 'going to war' with us) he is likely to 4-b pretty wide? So kinda irrelevant what to do if BTN is weak.

If we're not 3-b / calling I would probably flat pre tbh. It's a bit meh but I think it's better than having to 3-b / fold or getting flatted oop with awkward stack sizes.

Shoving pre for 38 bbs effective would be pretty bad imo.
