Could I have played this better? What would you do differently?
What hand range do you put this guy on? What particular hand do you think he has?

Fold pre. Both times. Against his raising range from the BB you have to get it in. IF he has QQ or JJ its a cooler. K10 should not be in his range and 99 is unlikely.

So JAM-ing is the best move here?

With close to 100BB, pre is fine on the BTN - you need to call the raise with all the money that goes into the pot afterwards. Definitely getting it in on that flop

Yeah your top 2 suggest the case jj/qq are highly unlikely.
99, aq, kq, aa, kk, plus random tens (incl tt) could
well be in villians range, easy shove... Sorry you were
coolered / sucked out on (why I suspect you posted the hand)

If you're not looking to get it in when you flop top 2 with this hand fold pre. You've got outs against anything he has that is actually ahed of you except for the two case queens!

Don't fold this pre. You're getting great pot odds.

Post, just ship it. If you get beat, sucks to be you. (I usually apply this to myself when my great hands get beaten) He's got AA, KK, KQ, TT more often than he has QQ, JJ, or 99 because you've already accounted for two queens, two jacks, and one nine. This is a $4, so I don't rule out KT, but again, if he's got that, just sucks to be you.

Bunch of nits itt. Are u all folding QJ on the button this deep/early? Am i the only one raising most of the times?
That said i probably sigh call here. Not because i'm afraid of being behind or anything but because i HATE draws in PS.

Both folding and playing the way OP did pre flop are both fine with me this deep/early in a MTT.

It is a scary board, I don't think he has KT or 99. TT is a real possible, JJ and QQ are less likely but still poss. I think you are ahead though most of the time and he is likely to be holding AA KK or AQ. I call.

i like your line if you called his flop shove. too many hands he can bet for value and you have crushed + some draws + we are priced in even if a dog to his range

He's got like set or less possibly straight... and he played it smart,.. willing to take risk of being outdrawn on turn in which case he might stick to cautious ways of keeping pot control especially if he's a smallballer, but if a blank falls on the turn he'll be getting it in anyway. And I think it's really set in his hand, cuz you won't expect KT in anyone's hand after the pre-raise so all 3 other guys are like drawing at best.. and with QQ/JJ, he's not really worried about anyone else having any other set.

And one can only assume that, because of his all-in reraise on the flop into 3 players. He's not kidding...and most probably, he has you beat.

Unless he's a moron and has KK/AA... but I wouldn't really recommend viewing your opponents as morons rather than skillful players... regardless of stakes you playing.
And for ten idiots you knock out of a tournament, you'll meet one skilled player who will knock you out...

He has QQ/JJ there like never. The check/raise on a drawy board always indicates some1 drawing or having drawn to me,independent of player skill. That said i still get it in probably.

More like he has never not have it there. And drawing is just one of several things check-raise may indicate....not like it always does.

fold pre the first time

when I imagine hell it often includes playing QJ off in a multiway readless pot early

if you reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly want to play QJ off on the button raise it up

if you do misclick and limp fold to the raise pre
