Relevant history (even only being on 2nd hand)...In the first hand, six players limped to my big blind, where I had KK. I raised to 220 hoping it looked like a steal. No takers. Now the second hand...

    CO: 1,480 (74 bb)
    BTN: 1,480 (74 bb)
    Hero (SB): 1,620 (81 bb)
    BB: 1,480 (74 bb)
    UTG+1: 1,500 (75 bb)
    UTG+2: 1,480 (74 bb)
    MP1: 1,500 (75 bb)
    MP2: 1,480 (74 bb)
    MP3: 1,480 (74 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 9
5 folds, CO calls 20, BTN calls 20, Hero raises to 150, BB folds, CO calls 130, BTN raises to 520, Hero???

This looks so squeezy and coupled with me having raised two straight hands, I had to believe that I was ahead of his range. Is that wrong, and do I want to go to the mat with 99 on the 2nd hand of the tournament? Calling seemed silly. Fold or shove here?

Ya I'd just fold or shove here with pretty much everything except maybe some KK/AA tarps. It depends some on how much we think CO calls again if he is really bad and we have reads on him. It also depends on how bad BTN is, because some players are literally never folding here once they have backraised no matter what they have. If he is very loose, I think you should probably even shove AA/KK and not trap.

With 99, clear shove/fold spot and I think this is probably a little too light without better reads but could definitely be a shove with better reads.

I think my default here with the reads you provided would be around TT, AQs, AKo.

Default shoving range? I'm assuming that AQ and AK in there because you think he more likely has TT-QQ given his line and we're now priced in to shoving...correct? BTW, absolutely no reads on opponents in 2nd hand and no past experience w/them.

I'm completing here the vast majority of time. It might seem weak, but I don't expect to get the pot HU by raising, and postflop will be tough to play oop.

As played, I think I'd shrug and fold being this early and this deep.

I don't mind raising or completing here, but we have to fold as played.

In a vacuum, completing seems pretty bad here. That being said, the hand 1 action makes things somewhat more interesting. If you're going to fold to a re-raise, then I agree that flatting might actually be better. At these stakes, though (and again keeping the first hand in mind) I think that you are far enough ahead of button's range to come over the top. This is particularly true if he was one of the hand 1 limpers (miniscule sample size, obv, but two consecutive limps to start a tournament is the beginning of a read).
