So villain here is a 40/21 fish over a small sample. I assume he is stupid and will c/r 69, 89, 9T, J9, JT, 88, all kinds of crap. Basically I think q9s is the nuts here.

1) Do you agree with my analysis?
2) I am folding J9s. Are you?

I think you open too often and too wide at this stage...

with your read calling is ok I guess but saying Q9 is a call and J9 is a fold seems pretty thin to me

If you are calling Q9, I don't understand folding J9.

I'd probably fold, fwiw.

I make it full 3x pre and Q9s I def open in CO when folded to. Not folding OTF, nor would I fold J9. Too much random crap and straight draws in his range.

I like open also, probably need little better read than fish over small sample to go with this hand. Probaly end up kicking myself later when he continues to spew and gets caught later.

I mean I open a lot of 2 gappers but opening a 3 gapper into an unpredictable fish seems optimistic unless we are happy stacking off a TP hand

I think pre is ok. I also think flop is a snap call, wtf at easy fold? Yeah he sometimes has K9/A9 or whatever but theres also J9/T9/89 that he plays the same way, as well as a bunch of random 7s he decides to go nuts with cause it's a dry board that "it's unlikely you've hit"

not foldin either

Not opening pre seems nitty to me, plenty of value in opening this

std open. I wouldn't open too light vs this guy but Q9s is a value open for me.

given your read std get it in spot. nh. if you really really don't want to b/c J9 then check it back given your reads. but I play it the same.

people saying fold are making bad folds

I like the open. Think an overjam like this you will see a lot of worse 9s and some straight draws, not folding.

K so I pretty much snap got it in when he shoved. He had 68o and hit it to win it. I think all of us should be b/cing q9ish hands vs that type of villain bc they will overvalue 9T type hands.
