25€ Rebuy online tournament. 1222 players.

After 4 hrs. of play there are ~115 players left, hero is ITM, next jump is at 100 (then 75). (sorry, no HH)

Stack ~27000, M ~2(!), average ~50-60000

10 handed table (on the table for not more than two orbits).
Blinds 3000/6000/300 (for at least one more orbit)

7 folds.
BTN (Stack ~100000) openshoves.
Hero with 55 in the small blind.
BB has about the same stack as hero.

Mandatory call? Although we're likely only a small favourite (against villain's estimated range)?

Any merit/point in folding and waiting for better (?) spots?

I'm probably not playing enough tournaments to be comfortable with my decisions in these spots.

So my main questions seems to be:

is it good/right/clever to put one's tournament life on the line on a likely coinflip?
does the answer to the question (call or fold?) only depend on hero's goal for the tournament - try to have a chance to win it or try to make at least the next money jump?

Thanks for any help/input!

Hint: don't fold.
