No hands on villain before this game, so he's most likely a fish as I have notes on most regs at this stake. He was playing 20/4 over the first few levels, I had no reads yet.

I time banked to check all of the hand histories for this game, the only hand he showed down was J2s which he called a 2x raise from SB in a 4 way pot and donk bet the flop and turn with just a flush draw. That's how he lost most of his chips.

Do you check or c-bet the flop? Call or fold as played?

Even though there is a fd on board, do we really want to gamble 80% of our stack on him not having an Ace? Just personal preference, but if we raise to 150, we can get away from an ace hi flop a little easier...

pre is fine, the logic above is kinda silly, when there isnt an ace high flop we get more value, and honestly do you really think this decision is that much different if the pot is 425 and he shoves 825 instead??

anyway as played just meh/fold, but calling is probably not terrible...

My first instinct was to fold, but I ended up calling because after thinking about it more, I just don't think he would bet so big if had an ace. His bet to me is screaming that he wants a fold.

I feel that way too, and they show up with an A a lot more than id expect. From experience id usually fold, but certain players i might find a call against.

Yeah that can be equally true. In this case he ended up having 77.

If the guy is bad (as you say he is), I'd play the same as you. Also some players go crazy if the PF aggressor checks on an A high board, so there's quite merit in checking to induce and your hand is not THAT vulnerable.
