pull out the magic marker draw some lines along the left side of each four that go as far down as the lowest line on the right side of the four and then u can justify calling. if u are ahead its by nothing personally im folding and waiting for a better spot.

Whenever I call off with small pairs it seems so wrong, no matter how light they may be re-shoving - hence the reason why I don't do it anymore

Based on pot odds you need 41.2% to make this a break even call. Giving this villain a shoving range of 44+, A7s+, A8o+, you are getting 41.3%. While this player is most likely shoving a lot of hands here i don't think his range is a lot wider than this. Giving him an extremely wide reshove range of 22+, A5s+, K10s+, A7o+, KJo+ you are getting 45.3%. Since you raised from MP1 I don't think he shoves hands like A7 A8 A9 and KJ K10 type hands as often. I also think that because you are a bigger stack he will think you are more likely to call wider so his shove range is probably tighter. For example if he thinks you are calling with A10 he probably wont shove anything less that A9. Since such a generous reshove range only gives you a 3% edge I think this is a fold.

your image is very important here.

I would usually call, 17% 3-bet is a LOT, and you're getting decent odds.
