looking to make some bets to motivate myself more etc, willing to do a few diff style bets i.e me vs you and your 4 friends at like 2:1 or something. best score for each team holds. Also I am going to be busy live for next 3 weeks too so you have an even greater headstart *cough augie* so put your money up vs the master

I don't really play tournaments cause I hate them but what kinda volume would I have to play to win this bet?

Let me rephrase that so nobody gets the wrong idea.

What kind of volume would one have to play to have a good chance to win this bet?

How ever much volume deeb puts in will be the volume required to win

To win, Deeb played, according to OPR, 4,896 tourneys in 2007. This includes sats and HU tourneys, so the 'qualifying' number is actually lower. (prob ~4,500).

That was without any known insentive plan - he figured he was playing for pride alone.

This year there will be more people gunning for it, as there is an actual value to the prize. So Shaun's score of ~35k points last year will probably be crushed this year...

(If I was to bet money on it, I would suspect that the score will be waffle-crushed...)

So to answer your question about what kind of volume you'd have to put in, assuming you run fairly well, probably about 500 tourneys / month should do it.

(or you can simply win the Sunday Hundred Grand every other week - that'd be good for ~60k TLB points...)

tory the score will also be crushed due to more tourneys that have high TLB yield as well as larger fields in these extra tourneys. Also the fact I am a way better then I was to start last year

It looks like a million win is worth under 3K TLB points... so not even close.
