Ugly spot. Villain had a 2p2 "clever poker" sounding nickname, but was new to my table so no stats. Never seen him before. He 3bet me tiny which I didn't know how to interpret. We were both really deep so I didn't exactly want to play a huge pot vs him but alas, I f'ed that up.

Check/Call flop with the intent of folding to a turn bet seems so gross.

sucks to get valued on three streets by QQ+. is four bet/folding pre insanely bad? of course it is but it might be a possible line to avoid calling down.

i would fold to his reshove on the flop as played cause i think his hands are so weighted to nutted range QQ+ and not much else.

as played i would probably be c/c flop and lead on most turns and fold to a shove if he finds it on the turn

pre is just fine. 4bet shoving this deep is just giving chips away imo, cuz u dont really know what to do and bet instead of thinking about it. what r u trying to accomplish by 4betting? i dont think he is folding any better, so he is folding any weaker pair and he will prolly fold AK (which is ok in that spot, cuz id hate to flip for my tournament life being that deep). thats the reason why 4bet shoving is just bad, cuz u would only wanna do that if u r scared to play a flop.
id go with furo and def c/c flop, tho id def c/f if he keeps firing on the turn. if u c/c the flop instead of a c/r u r just getting the same info here one street later but for a better price. u could find out that u r beat here on the flop if he shoves on u but think about how many hands that u beat will fire the turn? he could fire again with Ax hands, but i think his range consists of a lot more QQ+ hands than Ax hands that u r ahead of. u also do not have a plan for the riv at all oop. u r def checking riv again and should be callin if u call turn, so i do think that u r wasting money here in the long run.
bottom line:
c/c flop
c/f turn (its kinda nitty but i do think thats adequate in that spot)

So everyone seems to be advocating a c/c flop c/f turn to most bets?

If I call the turn I'm pretty sure folding the river is terrible, assuming standard betsizing.

pre is fine
flop raise is pretty bad
flop raise and ask what to do when 3 bet is even worse

c/c flop
c/ fold brick turns if he bombs again

Yeah unless you think he is going to barrel the whole way down with AK I would just c/c one street and then fold. His line is telling you he has a big hand, we are deep, we should probably just listen to his story and fold the turn.
