Definately imo. What you expect him to call you with? Just with the hands you are beat imo. I would rather bet the flop and reevaluate later if he calls and if he raises I think its clear that you have to throw your hand away imo.

I expect him to fold very very often. he is vpip 34 kinda guy.

But If I am called, yes, I am beat most of the time.

I actually never donkbet.. Is that better than check/call?

c/c is passive, you give me free cards to, c/r is bad because your range becomes polarized, he can lay down hands you beat and call with hands that beat you. Donk bet

Its not a donk bet, he did not raised PF. It is necessary for you to lead the flop like this, for protection and for value imo.
