now that im unblocked can we discuss that a8 hand?
09-01-2010 , 12:38 AM
buckshot on being buckshot <3

goodness this thread is....

can't even come up with the words.... just can't figure for the life of me why you would create a well.

how much do you charge an hour for coaching? do you think you are qualified to coach? is the price fair?

who are your mtt heroes? who are some of the best players you play against regularly?
09-01-2010 , 12:40 AM
You posted in a thread where I posted a hand where I shoved like 22 from EP at 500/1k with 15k in a 11^3.

you said it was an ez fold. Should my range be like 77-AA and AJs+ AQo+ there?

also with regards to 3betting, is the small 3bet in micros always AA?

I feel like I resteal too light 20bb deep...is this possible?

Also how should I implement small 3betting into my game?

too many questions?
09-01-2010 , 12:42 AM
How much would you pay me to let you coach me?

99+ AJs+ AQo+ is good.

small 3bet usually = QQ+

u likely do resteal as a jam too much, as alot of leaks of aware micro players consists mostly of thinking that every1 plays like u and giving people too little of credit in alot of spots.

players who's vpip and pfr are gapped and whom have usually a 10%+pfr and a low 3bet% are good ppl to 3bet vs. these players are usually fairly bad at poker and will love to call the 3bet and then check/fold when they miss.

im actually trying to get you to talk about a hand, something you desperately want to do so as to ignore the majority of people in this thread who think you're absurd. so why wont you welcome the distraction and discuss it?

check. in turbos and non turbos the answer will be based on player skill and icm considerations not on reg/turbo. however generally in normal mtts ur FE vs ppl is the same as in turbo mtts.

2. name 4 occupations that yield a lower average yearly income

for God's sake, at least respond to the a8 hand protential. if you have no justification whatsoever and misplayed the hand, just say so. you cannot get trolled much harder.

chris: rofl you called??

protential: i snap called.

It was obviously a very clear decision for you, you posted in OP that you would like to discuss hands, and Chris has asked you very blatantly on multiple occasions to respond to the way this hand was played. I am interested in learning as well, as I am just starting to play higher stakes mtt. Please let us know the math/reasoning behind this snap off.

2. I have a college degree from one of the best business school's in the nation, but at this point I do not foresee using it. Should I have dropped out (I made 2k in a $5 freezeout when I was a sophomore about 4 years ago and continued LOW STAKES MTT success from that point)?

i beat both of their ranges, and while it is only +CEV to the tune of like 1-2bb, which normally makes it a icm mistake, the difficulty of the feild made me not care if i was making a marginal call, and since i knew i beat his range, it was enough for me to call. However i could have taken a lower variance route and open shoved. in hindsight i feel that the open shove is better just because it is a bit lower variance vs bb.
09-01-2010 , 01:20 AM
Protential you seriously are delusional. Your posts ITT, and just making this well in general are really absurd (death threats, hypocrisy, etc). Posting OPRs of people because you luckboxed some scores then claiming profit doesn't equal skill, etc. This thread seriously shows that you are a giant douchebag.

This quote: "Without 2+2 and the people i have met here i can honestly say that i would still be a "college warrior" and grinding my way to a pointless business major. As is, i am a full time poker pro and feel obligated, and will happily do so, to give back to the community." Just basically affirms that you are screwed at life. There's the extremely minuscule chance that you have that everyone else has that you might bink something huge and be able to sustain yourself for a bit, but other than that you're just going to be mindlessly grinding midstakes MTTs and either go busto or have a meager lonely existence.

You have arguably the worst attitude I've ever seen and a giant ego. Winning a few flips in the final 3 tables of some dailies doesn't make you better at poker or life then some other random grinder. STFU and get over yourself and everyone else take note on how NOT to act when you finally win a few dollars.

curious as to what range bb snaps with there that gave you a mathematically calculated +1-2bb profit. also, you said you snapped it, which means there are hands lower than A8 that you would have called with (unless you snap every decision that involves thousands of dollars equity?). what hands are those, and how miniscule would their +cEV have been? and also the 2nd part of my question, which was something like, "can you comment on the absolute skill level of a player that recommends a fold?"

the reason i ask is because of the pm i received from you regarding the hand, saying "std call for me. std call for anyone that understands poker. i guess you wouldnt understand it. std" do you still stand by it?
