yes in hand 2. I hate it, but yes in hand 1 as well. All the other options suck for hand 1, so just go ahead and shove it in.

both are ridiculously standard shoves in LP w/ 10BBe and a Ace.

Hand 1 is a clear push. #2 is marginal bc ppl call to much with Ax.

1 is not the slightest bit marginal we can turn the A4o face up and they cant call profitably

idk, I feel like with ~13 BB the four kicker is a bit weak to be shoving with.

this is why stuff like SNG Power tools is so useful, because you can apply math to the situation and figure out the right answer, instead of your gut feeling (which in this case is giving you the wrong answer)

The one thing to remember in ICM cases is that you should make the other ppl take the decision to take money from you and the caller.

thanks for the tip... the shove or fold portion of tournaments is definitely a soft spot in my game

Hand 2 is an easy shove nee M theory: because of your stack size, you have no choice but to shove every chance you get.

In Hand 1, you don't need to shove, given your position. you can go for the steal instead.

wat? are you suggesting raise folding with 12.5bbs on the btn with an Ace?

Yes. Because tourney (M= X) is different from cash games (XxBB).

I like this move, and 2 years ago this was the key to getting ROI at 130%. Now I think doesn't work, but maybe I have just been running bad for 4000 of these?

lol, thank you, i did not know that.
if you had been here more than 2 months you would realise that almost all MTT use xBBs to describe their stacks, not M.

whether we have 12.5bbs or 7M, it is still a shove.

alright, thanks for confirming these shoves guys, obv ran into AQ on each one and blew my chance for winning these, when 12 tabling i sometimes worry that i'm just shoving without thinking spewing if i'm not that short, so wanted to make sure these were ok plays so hard to not be RO when losing

both shoves are incredibly standard, surprising that anyone is even considering folding here.

Is this supposed to be literal? Sometimes it makes sense to say this but here i dont get it. isnt calling with A5+ and 55+ profitable?

Nevermind i wasnt thinking when i posted that. Its because the times they wake up with that range (A5+,55+) dont happen often enough to make the steal unprofitable.
