First hand 99-JJ, not really sure how I should play these.

Full Tilt Poker $2 + $0.25 Sit & Go (Turbo) No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 9 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

SB: t1500
Hero (BB): t1500
UTG: t1500
UTG+1: t1500
UTG+2: t1500
MP1: t1500
MP2: t1500
CO: t1500
BTN: t1500

Pre Flop: Hero is BB with J J
1 fold, UTG+1 calls t30, UTG+2 raises to t90, 5 folds, Hero raises to t300, UTG+1 calls t270, 1 fold

Flop: (t705) K T 6 (2 players)
Hero bets t200, UTG+1 raises to t400, Hero folds

Flat call the 3x raise? Re-raise more/less? Shove?

I know the CBet was pretty small, but I figure after PFR they are calling/raising with a K and folding without one, so 200 was enough to get the info I wanted. Villian limps, then calls a 10x re-raise, so is probably strong.

Should I CBet more/less/not at all?

Call the 200? Pot odds obviously say to, but I figure im beat here, and to early to spew anymore.

even at $16 this is a classic spot where u get bluffed a lot so there is no way his miniraise says he has the k at $2. u can reraise all in here profitably overall. im not saying u always should but its better than raising 200 and folding as u have committed 500 chips and its not certain u r beat. u can check raise the flop all in or u can check call or u can check fold u can play it a ton of different ways. but if he had AA or AK or KJ or a set on an unscary board most players at these low stakes games are just flat calling and slow playing.

if u fold to that mini raise after your small cbet iinstead of calling it or shoving over it u will get exploited all day long so be careful. the way u played flop is showing weakness when u r weak so its very exploitable.

I would flat pre since you are out of position.

I agree with this part. I don't like leading the flop with those stack sizes.

if u flat u r playing small ball and mainly for set value. its not wrong but i like your raise pre as long as u play post flop well when an overcard flops.

So out of position I should be flat calling PF, which would probably have lead to 3 players to the flop, then probably check-fold when UTG+1 bets in middle position?

Just tough spot to decide when to check-fold/call/raise/shove.

That's what I hope mini-cbet folding was. As you said, I could probably shove there profitably, but not sure if its worth the risk this early. Dont have enough to re-raise his 400 without shoving. So looks like check calling flop, then probably an under card hits and I lead out on the turn? Hoping his flop raise was air or maybe pair of 10s? Check-call the turn?

no flat calling pre flop is only preferable if u play badly post flop as it makes your hand easier to play. u dont go broke in an unraised pot. but u should raise like u did as u want to charge people to draw against u as u have the 4th best starting hand in poker.
