Q8s is std fold I think drawing to 8 outs at best here and often you'll be in worse shape than that drawing dead/hoping to chop v KQ AQ or some of your outs gone like if he has AK . Would be an ambitious check/shove with 8bb left and him getting >3:1 on a call . Donking flop ? prob bad

88 is w/e . Yes you prob get odds to setmine here and get paid off often enough though occasionally you flop a set and still lose . IF MP shoves it's pretty bad because you dumped 9bb . I'd prob fold but can't see calling being too terrible if MP rarely 4bets . Probably -ev to call 320 to setmine here though because you need a guaranteed double up every time you flop a set just to breakeven

H1- I like calling only if we close action
H2- defend is ok i guess, on turn you probably don't even have a full 8 outs and will be dominated a fair amount of times if you hit a 9 on river. fold

1 is alright. 4b is FPS because MP2 is gonna flat even if MP1 has a high call4b%. You need CO to call too often I reckon.

2. Fold, and it's a pre fold, it's a bit too thin, you don't get to shove enough flops with FE*. (Peg SB as having 98ish/Tx/Jx with under-straight range and you have a hell of a time finding something that doesn't at least pair+block your outs w/MP2 on a rainbow and you short. He will bet 3rd pair profitably here.)

*could do anyway I guess using gutshots as absolute bottom of a stop-n-go range, but this isn't an optimal holding for flop shoves. There are better ones from the middle of the deck.

Don't know how great leading turn is in hand 2, are we just shoving? We have just over a PSB left yo

Misread stacks originally. Don't like b/c obv, don't like checking really either at this dynamic, su, and our overall equity when betting here. But check is prob > shoving. I want to bet something close to 1/3 I guess and fold. Which really kinda sux in theory, but its prob what I do in-game.

1/3 isn't bad actually. I'm not sure this is the spot for it. Across range, sure.
