New to 180's

Down to 15 players or so, think I was 13th or something, is this an ok spot to try and triple up, and have any decent shot to win the tourney?

Poker Stars $2.00+$0.20 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t800/t1600 Blinds + t150 - 8 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): t8170 M = 2.27
UTG: t5311 M = 1.48
UTG+1: t28478 M = 7.91
MP1: t12345 M = 3.43
MP2: t16685 M = 4.63
CO: t15346 M = 4.26
BTN: t43637 M = 12.12
SB: t21291 M = 5.91

Pre Flop: (t3600) Hero is BB with 8 9
3 folds, MP2 raises to t16535 all in, 2 folds, SB calls t15735, 1 fold

Thought both opponents had overs, so my cards were probably live.

Even if one player has a small pair, and other has overs, I have enough equity to make the call or pretty close to it?

I did, and that is why I posted the question. It wasn't as pure a gamble as I thought.

Nice hand ranges for your opponents!! What if one of them has TsTd and the other one has 99?

I did think about that too. And it would be a terrible spot. I did fold btw.

My other point/question was...is it time to gamble, as I am so short? Busted like 3 or 4 hands later w 92o

Yes, you should try to steal in the next orbit. Not in the next 2 hands unless you get a decent hand (meaning something like top 50%), because you will probably be caller by the short/big stack, but in one of the next 3 hands.

By the way, if is not one or a couple of hands what you should put in pokerstove. It's the whole range of possible hands for the first person going all in and for the caller., and see how your hand does against this complete range

vs ~14-16% and ~6-8% which seems kinda realistic we have ~20-21%

Hand 1 is 7.1% of hands. Hand 2 is 15.2%

If I'm reading this hand right, we need to put in 6420 chips (1750 of our stack already "gone" into pot with blinds and antes) to win 27,660. If I'm doing this right, we need 23.2% equity to breakeven? 6420/27660 =~ .232

So is it a call if the hand is suited?

calling with 89 in a multiway all in is never good.
suited same answer.

the strategy is called push fold here, not call fold ;-)
