I bet flop

makes the hand much easier to play when we keep the initiative here and he calls with many worse

yea i go 4k here.

if he raises, I think you have to be prepared to get it in though. what you think about that desp?

3899 weird numbers will confuse them into folding

noway. I'm bet/folding this flop. I think we're too deep to get it in even if we have blockers.

disclaimer: my post-flop skills need work...

(that's why i'm trying to think this through)

if it were me - seems like c/c flop or c/r is better than leading with a c-bet here. this kind of wet texture hits a lot of hands (lots of 2 pair combos, pair plus draw combos, straight draws, flush draws, etc.) and i find is easy for villain to bluff-raise or float and give us problems where we hate life and don't know where we are.

i would probably c/shove a big bet from him and c/c a small one. however, if i'm c/c a small one i'm not sure what i'm doing on various turn cards, which is part of why i have trouble post-flop.

i feel like c/f here is probably giving up too much. ? ?

haha looks like all of the more experienced posters prefer b/c or b/f flop. oh well. i'm trying! if anyone wants to share thoughts on why my thoughts are bad or if there is anything good in them, i'm eager to hear it!

c/c makes the hand very difficult to play profitably on future streets. Nothing here is that great. b/f is the least of all evils imo.

b/f? seriously? I can see a b/f against a well known nit/rock, but no reads here. I wouldnt ever fold in this spot against a random 25 bbs deep.

Id bet this flop 95% of the time, and the few times I check Im calling or prolly even shoving any bet, but its hard to say what to do if called in later streets. Only way I can see myself folding is if turn is an ace or a king and villain bets big or shoves.

Jacks are rarely easy.

Villain looks like a small pair, AXs (X not being K or Q) or sc that may or may not contain a Q. KQ would prolly be the hand I fear the most. Obv 10J is the worst, but very unlikely here. An overpair, while not impossible, would be extremely weird too.

We are ahead here around 85% of the time imo, if not more.

Im prolly too much of a donkeymaniac to ever fold here with less than 25 bbs.

you make my head hurt. i've read like 10 of your posts from the past 20 minutes. and i'm going to shut down my computer to protect myself. this statement is unneeded, useless, obvious, and trite. but i think it's cute.
