This spot comes up from time to time. Villain is a random. What do people do here? What about without the caller, are you more likely to flat call the raise? Do we just accept that if the raiser has a bigger pair we are going broke?

Go broke 100% vs randos w/QQ.

Sure, they might have AA-KK, but they could also have 99-JJ, AJ/AQ, sometimes worse

Min-raises are always hard to handle, but I think I'd play it the same. Playing QQ 3way sucks, and 3-beting commits us, I think.

Looks fine vs randoms.

+1 but observe with what type of hand he called. If KK-AA - you know he likes to minraise as some sort of odd trap. If he called with something like AQ, AK, JJ or TT - take a note and be careful next time you get involved in some similar situation with him because now you know that he probably not understand ICM, meaning he will call you incorrectly in spots like this, thereby risking to hurt both of you.

Thanks guys. Its just the min-raise that makes this tricky. It often means AA/KK , and it also makes my shove a bit of an overbet. I'd be much happier doing this if he had made it 250.

He had KK, and its one of those spots where you sort of knew it was coming and you feel like you just made it super easy for him by overbet shoving...

I see people do this with any PP and any A probably twice as often as AA and KK. I'm never folding v a random.

Twice as often as AA/KK... would that be enough to make it a shove?

If they do that then fold half of their raggy hands to the shove then i've only got about 50% equity when called, not looking that good.

Anyway i thinks its pretty standard against randoms.
