No reads/stats yet.
I sharkscoped the raiser and he was a marginal loser, -4% ROI.
What to do?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) by Hand Converter CG

MP1 (t1265)
MP2 (t1340)
MP3 (t1195)
CO (t1910)
Button (t1425)
Hero (t1430)
BB (t1890)
UTG (t1440)
UTG+1 (t1605)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J, J.
2 folds, MP1 calls t30, 3 folds, Button raises to t150, Hero ??

If we re-raise to 500 we pretty much have to shove every flop OOP or commit to getting it in pre. Against a losing player I am re-raising here pf though with stack sizes it's kinda messy. Flatting and c/f non-J hi flops or less is kinda annoying. JJ vs a losing player should be played stronger than just looking for set value.

Tough spot tho I think.

What about pushing?

I used to do this (push pre in this spot) a few months ago, but I think it pretty much alerts the other player that you don't have QQ/KK/AA. I don't think you get called that lightly here. Maybe TT calls, but otherwise you're racing or crushed.

I shove and get called by garbage all day.

Call and hope for a low card flop or the J to hit. Play post-flop poker (granted position sucks big time). If you raise to 450 or so, you're effectively committed, even if a Q-A hits.

Note that a 4% loser is beating his opponents, but not enough to cover the rake. I tend to look at those kind of players as having a clue about poker, but perhaps not a lot of SNG specific knowledge. If the sample size is large, they may be a positive player now, so looking at ROI over time is much more interesting than just a single number.
