call, only gonna fold out worse hands by raising. You have good odds to flop a set or continue one street if board comes three low cards.

OOP I like calling. Raising leaves you in a really bad spot if he just calls and the flop comes with overs which I believe is a little above 50% with JJ.

I push this, calling seems too weak.

You realize that we have 32bb here, right? I don't see how pushing can be the best play this deep.

Pushing is the worst of all possible options. I would much rather fold the jacks here than push them.

This is really close allthough folding is not an option. We are 27bbs deep and effectivly 25bbs if BB goes out. I'd shove to a 3x raise but here I'd probably either call (and play for stacks on low boards) or make it like t500 and shove most flops. Shoving here is fine though imo.

Could someone who thinks shoving is a good play please explain. This just seems way too deep to shove. I think we are flipping or crushed more than we are flipping and crushing in this spot if we get called.

There is 175 chips in the pot, so if you want to think in terms of effective BBs you have 11-12. Min-raises can indicate either strength or weakness, but with HUD stats of 29/9 we can see this guy likes calling so he will often stack off with weaker hands here.

I like raising to 900 and shoving the flop because it's more fun. Folding is bad.

Is the size of the pot the only factor for calculating effective BB? I know in HoH it also involves # of people at the table, but do we not really worry about that in an STT?

I think using the total chips in the pot (and dividing by 1.5 for the effective BB) gives you an ok idea about whether you should be in push/fold mode, <10 effective BBs by this method would usually be push/fold, slightly >10 is a bit hazy like in this situation.

There's no method that is really correct, play in STTs is determined by the specific stack sizes of everyone at the table, so different situations have to be analyzed individually.
