BTN: t2410
SB: t1330
BB: t2385
UTG: t2900
Hero (MP): t2145
CO: t2330

Pre Flop: (t300) Hero is MP with A K
UTG raises to t600, Hero raises to t2145 all in, 4 folds, UTG calls t1545

I don't get why Wiz says this should be a fold. It still shows pos. equity of around .50

I mean I'm not folding I know that but why does Wiz say fold for this?

Edit: He was 22/15 so not your typical TAG, which played a factor when I made my quick decision.

It says push range is 2.6 which would be AKs TT+

It only says fold because it min. edge at 0.54. It is not a fold. Easy push. Don't over analyze Wiz. I would love to get AK at this point. And it's not a "reshove," because he only raised.

What range are you putting in?

The ranges is wiz are wrong or your minimum edge is too high. For the $16s I'd take 0.3% as a minimum edge.

This is a clear shove btw, no way you're ever behind his range.

I agree with everyone else. Most likely he has ace face in which case you have him dominated or he has a pp in which its a flip. I'd call this in your situation.

Good point Raz, I was going to say 0.25-0.3% is pretty good for this level.

This looks a pretty standard shove
He is not calling so much, you have plenty of FE
Dunno how you're setuping your wiz, I manage to get it around +1.70% Diff

OT: how does minimum edge change in relation to buy ins? the tougher the opponents, the higher or lower the min edge should be?

ronmar : against better players, you can use a 0 edge.

so its inversely proportional to skill level.
Thanks,

Ill set wiz's edge to around 0.3%-0.4% as well since Im playing $11s at Ongame.

Yeah the minimum edge is basically how selective you can be with shoves and calls.

Against weaker players at lower buyins you don't need to make most of the +0.1% shoves because you're very likely going to get a better spot. Against better players in the high stakes SNGs you have to take every edge possible, so you'd set minimum edge to zero.

Most people would probably be suprised at how much more you can shove and especially how much more you can call with zero minimum edge.

I have an edge over my opponents because I take 0.2% edges.
Hum.

Set your edge to zero people.
