Why 800? I hate these spots too, but I think the general consensus will be to commit yourself on the flop, but 800 just seems a wierd amount. I'd bet 500 and call a shove, or even just shove the flop.

I admit the bet was not pretty. Guess I was too lazy to type 450.

Bet t400 calling a shove. He might lay down 88 here if you keep your line believable. t800 looks like AK.

Villain has 755 so 800 is all in. Do you think that villains read anything into you typing 800 rather than pushing them all in? Isn't 500 a more wierd amount when he'll only have 255 left after that?

I always hate these spots.

If you're going to get all in anyway I'd rather check/call.

In my experience these outrageous "I'll call for a quarter of my 10BB stack and evaluate the flop" plays are almost always made with weak pairs, and very few players capable of making them will give up any pair on a T high board. So very little FE.

Whereas your push erases any (and I believe substantially higher) equity from inducing a bluff from a worse hand - only very few players bluff-call these days.

looks fine imo. doubt the average donk is gonna look at any other bet any different. were never folding , he barely has more than the pot , so shippin is cool i thinks

I wonder what he called 25% of his stack here. I think a smaller bet shows more strength then putting him all in looking like you want to induce a shove . I would bet 450 and call his all in.

This is pretty standard, lol @ a donk folding 88 for 400 but calling it if you shove.
