Pre Flop: (t300) Hero is BB with A

2 folds, SB raises to t7000, Hero calls t1495 all in

Sitngo wizard actually claims this is a fold without 88+ even if villain shuvs atc..

are we really listening to icm here?

guess we have to muck it?

Ya CO's too short, and doubling up through a massive stack doesn't carry much EV.

You an't have the idea that you are supposed ot ignore ICM, if you do then you are going ot get exploited by regs,a nd as you move up it will get worse and worse.

wiz is saying call 88+ (3.2%) if sb is on 99% shoving. A "very loose" shove is 43% and you should call jj+. I don't think I have ever laid down AK in this spot, but maybe I should start.....

clear fold, AJo just doesn't play great against his shove

if i have AK I feel more comfortable knowing I have a better chance of having him dominated

ideally, you want 99+ here though

I think i am even folding AK here, just because of the equity we are risking. Sucks to fold big time, but correct for ICM reasons.

My range here is 88 or 99+ and AK.
Normally I fold AK in this spot, but because we are pretty close to the shortstack, and if he doubles up, we will be in deep sh**

interesting people are saying they'd call with 'AK' but not AQs, AQs is better than AKo vs a wide range, i call AQs, AKs, 77+

This is true, AQs is actually more of a favorite vs a random hand then AKo

In the heat of the moment i prob call AQs, but this is only b/c I call more aggressively than most good players in this spot. Just keep in mind that calling with AQs/AK isn't gonna be huge +ev in this spot, but the short stack isn't exactly on life support so I do call with these hands.

+1 I think calling pushes with medium pairs fare better than Ax with X>J.

Specially if he's not pushing Any two cards here
