My sn is Louiseee on the Merge Network. I've somehow managed to have a 142% ROI for MTT's according to Sharkscope over 819 games. I don't know much about stats especially for MTT's, but I think a reasonable sample size is about 1000 games? In that case it's on the fringe of a decent sample, and I'm wondering if this could really be sustainable.

I know Merge isn't the most difficult network in the world, and I didn't make this thread just to brag. I just kind of wanted to put myself out there on 2+2 and wanted some information on how statistics work for MTT's. I also am curious as to what are the highest ROI's around for MTT players over very large samples. I don't know if this is the right place for this, but please forgive this 2+2 noob :3 .

1K is still not telling the whole story, but could be a fine indicator. MBN 2 be u.

nice heater. 100% is probably possible on a network like merge, but 1k games is not a big sample by any means.

I would say 5-10k games is a good tell of your long run win rate. The variance is so high in MTT that you can get a high ROI with one nice score then not have another great score for a while. I would say 5k games is a good idea.

beating you and resteppa in the 20r 6max felt soooooooooooooooooooooo good, it wasn't the biggest payout of my carreer but it was the sweetest!

seriously though i thought you were a really good player, I think you can easily acheive a 100% ROI on that network, you and resteppa and i were def the best players in the tourney no wonder we took the top 3 spots

oh and i def liked the resteal with KTo, I was snap folding my open, (pretty sick flat there by resteppa from the sb)...also thought you were picking optimum steal spots with your raises, your sizing was pretty spot on...overall a solid player imo

I don't know enough about merge network, but I imagine if the structures are good enough and the players are bad enough this would be sustainable.

Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if your ROI dropped to something closer to 100% after 5k games, barring a monster win in a special tournament. No offense at your skill level or anything, I've just seen the way the numbers even out.

Even though I knew Resteppa's flat from the sb wasn't very strong at all, my history with him gave me essentially ZERO fold equity with that squeeze. He knows me as a loose player (for a regular MTT'er anyway), and he knows I'll take advantage of just about any nice spot to get it in light. I reacted way too fast in the hand, and I was instantly regretting it the moment I shoved.

...Also, I'm pretty sure this was the was the day after I 4-bet shoved on him blind vs. blind and made a running str8 with my KJ off vs his AA in the $60r which basically won me the tournament >__> . Yeah I guess I am just a terrible donk on a good run :P

I think he may have flatted just to catch your resteals...that would have been an interesting hand to just flat coz i was crushed pre (but would have won the hand anyway i had K6s)...watch out for those types of things, identify those kinds of mistakes and you will do well

you noticed that my range to flat from the SB was strong when you didn't bet that KQ high board, resteppa is loose but i was alarmed when he flatted the sb....and don't beat unrealzeal plz...gl

I've only used Sharkscope in the past for SNG's. I've never even looked myself up before on all games. It says I'm 78% ROI over 604 games on FTP (I guess that includes SNG's which really aren't my strong suit). That's better than I thought it would be, but I don't think I'm that good compared to many others around here. So many things I can improve on...I'm still working on getting better.
