im not asking because of results. i know pay structure is so top heavy and blinds about to hit me folding to the money is not the correct play, right?

Pretty sure it's a shove considering FE and the fact that you're the one shoving. If UTG shoved though it's a fold.

Side note though: The pokerstars 45-man games are not as top-heavy as most MTT games; 1st is only 7 times 7th, and 2nd is only 5 times 7th. The optimal strategy is a hybrid of standard MTT strategy and SnG strategy, and the bubble is still significant.

ICM says we fold AKo to a ship here?!

i'm not convinced. i call everytime no matter who shoves. I have their range crushed and i'm not playing for ITM.

i'm actually amazed that everyone seems to agree on the fold.

shoving is okay, it's really thin though

calling with AK vs a stack who covers us on the other hand would be ****ing horrendous

and no, 45 man pokerstars structures are no where near top heavy and are probably the flattest mtts you'll find on that client (unless you count 18 mans, i suppose)

I can see the argument for the fold. I could not do it. This is a shove for me. You are in a good spot to be in the top 4 and possibly win it. Have to take the chance or you are going to get it in bad and get a bottom spot.
