Ok this is taken from a $12/180 i just played and wanted to hear peoples thoughts on as a friend of mine disagreed with how i played it.

I've been at the same table through out, but its still pretty early on. Couple guys just got knocked out/crippled hence the 6-handedness.

UTG is a typical spewtastic player as you can see by his open with his stack size. The CO isn't a worry at all. BB just got his chips from the last hand with a serious suckout vs CO but was heavily short stacked prior to that and had been spewing all over the shop. SB is a nit who played AK once and thats pretty much it.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP (t1325)
CO (t40)
Hero (t2350)
SB (t1525)
BB (t4205)
UTG (t825)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Xx Xx
UTG raises to t450, 1 fold, CO calls t40 (All-In), Hero?

OK a couple of questions here, if im playing this hand at all im playing for UTG's stack as there isn't much point in just flatting, and im really not too concerned about the blinds.

Given the above info, what's the lowest part of my range you would be getting it in here with?

1010, AQs, AQo

wow i looked at the thread and people suggested looser ranges than i thought ....we have 0 fe i think ones range has to be tighter because of that.

you need to play these to see how poor and ridiculously wide the ranges are...I go with 66+ and A10 suited plus...

two issues...villans play bad in turbo 180s and this is KJ off or A rag more thany anything...

second you need to pick up the dead chips any chance you get if you want to get deep...if CO had more chips than he had but less than UTG I may even go wider...we can't get deep in these without taking chances and here is a spot where we can do it

thanks...obviously play too many of these...my wife sits next to me sometimes and I call out a decent % of hands accurately ...issue is you still need to have the hand hold vs 4 overs which is where my mojo often lets me down!

Concerned about the plan for the hand though because BB is still live and like you said he is spewtastic. Probably need to shove Isolate. If you try a min Isolation attempt or even a weak one for this matter, spewtard might get the bright idea to either call or shove his KQ, A9, 55, who knows.
