Villain is a good reg, what would you say his calling range is? my shoving range? rest of table are droolers including sb who will be super tight. Obv i'm shoving this, but how low would you go?

i'm shipping top 30%ish here (55+,A2s+,K4s+,Q7s+,J8s+,T8s+,A5o+,K8o+,Q9o+,J9o+)

if villain really is a good reg, and knows who you are, he's probably calling you fairly light (pairs, most As and Ks)

villain def knows who i am, and yes i was kind of more curious about his range then mine in this spot (mine is similar to those posted maybe slightly tighter since i'm an icm nit)

vs a super tight sb and a reg in the bb i probs shove 100% here.

Agree I'm probably shoving close to 100% here... maybe folding a few of the lowest hands in my range depending on my image.

I would think a competent reg may be calling fairly tightly with a 4BB stack behind him. I'm bad @ICM studying, but if I was villain I'd probably be calling something like A2+, KT+, pairs.

If I'm in your seat I'm shoving 100% as everyone's so short that the PF flop is like 20% of a stack and you're mostly 40/60 when you're behind..

depends who the reg is

im shoving super wide though, nowhere close to 100% though. maybe 60% tops assuming the reg is actually good

the regs call range will depend on how often theyve played with you. but i think youll get called by worse sometimes if thats what youre wondering

ok thanks for the insight i'm probably too tight here then as i'm like 30% here, i was pretty sure reg would call me light enough that i couldn't shove too much wider than that. Thought him calling with a3o was bad with the icm factor in play (he has 45% vs my range) but maybe i'm wrong there and am too nitty in his position. But with stack sizes i just didn't think shoving any wider than 30-35% (prob some connectors in there i'd shove that aren't included in stove) would be very good. I mean obviously wiz says even this is way too wide vs. his and sb's calling range in $ev calculation, and i usually try to find an ideal icm/cev intermediate point, but you guys are suggesting a lot wider than the my intermediate point.

In his spot i just can't see flipping with a low a-x's vs. someones range being great though even given money in the pot with how nitty everyone else was playing/future steal opportunities but idk i guess i'm wrong. I ended up being a luckbox after this hand and somehow shipping it anyways so just lol run good i guess.

well, if you're shoving 60%+, A3o should be a std call. But, if you're shoving 30% A3o is probably a bad call... but people will call with any ace to a button shove this short because they assume you're doing it wide.

I'd be shipping the button at least 50% and maybe up to 60% so the calling range against me would be pretty wide.

I'd be calling with all pairs, A's, K9+, QT+ but that is assuming you are at least shipping 40-50% from the button. vs. tight buttons obv cut that calling range way down.
