well not superstd cause if they call perfectly its pretty meh but they will call tight enough to make this profitable.
in terms ICM there is no real question that they have to call very tight even if you shove ATC

Thanks Furo, I keep thinking I could reduce variance and not shove these hands but it just feels right to me (given stack sizes) despite a bunch of 5th places and no top 3s in forever.

Kev, the pay jumps until you reach the top 2 are pretty trivial, you should IMO be going for 1st/2nd and not 3rd.

It doesn't reduce variance to not shove here.

i don't shove here esp with sb stack

in my experience people's calling ranges are wider than you might first believe so make sure before you make shoves like this you have a reasonable idea as to a person's calling range

Hmmm, kind of closer than I expected. Spoke to a couple other well respected 2p2ers, one advocated a push but said it was about as low as he'd go and the other said "no" shove.

This is a snap(ish) shove for me and I think MPs stack tightens up their calling range enough to make this good (basically furo's ICM point).

Table Dynamic? Lots of uncalled pushes? Lots of open-folding / walks to the blinds? Anybody at this table understand ICM and been calling down lightish?

IMO that has more to do with this particular decision, just because our holdings are so weak and there are a few shorties left to act. They'll often call down with any Ace, any overs, etc., etc..

ICM says you should shove this, and I probably do more often than not, but I think you let the table dynamic make this thin decision for you.
