I open fold both of these at the $27's but the BB I'm usually up against is ~30/15.

You could probably get away with raising tighter blinds here. At t300 to win t150, he would have to flat or raise you 33.3% of the time for you not to show a profit (even if you never won after being called).

Do people play back this liberally at the higher buy-ins?

Aren't they both shoves? Neither seems that close. Even against an equilibrium opponent these are shoves, and these villains are probably much tighter.

*HU player... newbie advice.

At 1st glance it seems that they both should be +Ev in a vacuum. That said, in-game I'd probably fold the 1st for FE preservation purposes (complete, anyone?) and shove the 2nd.

I probably fold 1 and shove 2. Even if 1 is slightly +ev, I'd rather save my FE for later when I need it a lot more vs. bigstack (IE - don't use up all my shoves now).

Lol just read AMT's post. Pure genius AMT, keep up the good work. Also I don't tend to complete and steal against villians with more than twice my stack. Unless they're just insanely tight/passive.

I like the fold of both of these, they help bigtime when you start shoving later when it matters more.

Hand 1 i dont like a shove, and i think complete/stab is fine especially bc a tag player is likely to nit it up with a healthy stack + tags often dont float/playback making these spots profitable for us. For the same reasons, i think raising pf 280ish is fine

Hand 2 I agree with you guys is a shove

I shove both if I am running good...otherwise folding first and second probably shoving (only 11bb?), I shove both with antes +200 chips. That are not my stakes I don't know really.

Agree, fold 1 and push 2 due to stack size. Might limp lead 1.
