Hi,

I had played a 100+10 FO last week where i came in a difficult spot who i want tot discuss with you

Blinds 100/200
I was on the Button with 40k and the BB played the same stacksize as me.
Everyone had folded to me and i found 79 and i open tot 425
Sb en BB calls
Flop:89J
Sb/BB checks and i bet 550
The sb fold and the BB check raised tot 3000.
What do we have tot do in this spot?

Wrong forum, this is for cash games.

But since you asked - close your eyes and ship it. Enjoy the ride.

I would probably check the flop.

Any info on the checkraiser?

Obv. not folding here, think I am usually calling here in position.

Yeah, checking seems best.
It's a call as played, though I'm not too thrilled

With all of our equity, folding to the raise is clearly not an option. Raising seems absurd because our opponent can have so many other hands that have us in very bad shape and will never be folding. As played, flatting the flop raise and re-evaluating the turn seems like the right play.

Personally, I would prefer to check this flop. We have a pretty strong hand with middle pair and a flush draw, but it's nowhere near the nuts and we are often put in awkward spots like this when we are raised. On this board, there are sooooo many hands that already have us smoked. By checking the flop, we can play our 2nd pair and flush draw rather deceptively while also keeping the pot on the smaller side for the time being. There's not a turn in the deck we can't call if one of our opponents decide to bet the turn, and even when we miss brick out on the river, we can still either have the best hand or potentially bluff our opponents off of better hands.
